I was born in Houston TX.  I learned to enjoy drawing around the age of seven.   I was raised in church, and remember spending a little of my time drawing in church.  My mother always had a pencil and paper.
We moved to the country when I was in the sixth grade.  I graduated from High School and then went to work at the courthouse for the district clerks office.
I met my husband, and we raised three sons.  I started painting in acrylics "tole style" and opened my own studio where I taught for three years.

Later I went into painting walls in homes,  both faux finishing and murals.  One day I had a job to paint birds on a wall for a client.   Her home was filled with hand painted antiques.  I was hooked from there on.   I could not afford those beautiful antiques, so I decided, I would paint for myself.
I found Lois Blackburne in town and she painted china.  She taught me the basics of china painting.  Now I have been teaching porcelain painting for about six years and thoroughly enjoy the painting and the teaching.

My goal is to teach my students what I have learned and hopefully they will create beautiful pieces of porcelain for their families to enjoy for many generations.

Favorite Bible verse:  Romans 8:28  We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to his purpose.
